Add the Practice Evolved button to Open Dental
A one time setup, about a minute, done once per practice database. It covers every workstation. Open Dental's own API cannot add this button for you, so this is the one part of setup your office does by hand, in Open Dental's own Setup window.

Download the icon (PNG, 22x22)1. Download the icon
Save the button image below. It is a small 22x22 picture, exactly the size Open Dental's Program Links window expects.
2. Open Program Links in Open Dental
In Open Dental, click Setup, then Program Links.
Click Add at the bottom of the window.
3. Fill in the four fields
Description: Practice Evolved
Path (this is the web address the button opens): https://app.practiceevolved.com/
Toolbar buttons: tick Main Toolbar so the button is always within reach. Account and Chart are optional if your team wants it there too.
Button Image: click Import, and pick the icon file you downloaded in step 1.
4. Click OK, then sign in once
Open Dental adds the new button to the toolbar right away. No restart needed.
The first click opens your Practice Evolved dashboard in your normal web browser. Sign in once; your browser remembers you after that.
